Is Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City (ELGC) owned by the Enugu State Government or is it a Public-Private Partnership project?

ELGC is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), which is a unique project model that utilises private finance and expertise to assist government in achieving rapid infrastructure development. Therefore, Enugu state government and Private Estates International, West Africa are in this unique partnership for the development of ELGC.

Why was this project sited in Enugu State?

Part of the vision of the Enugu State Government is to bring to live a project of this nature and magnitude as a response to the severe housing shortage in Enugu State. The project is also envisaged to compliment Enugu state government’s effort in providing social amenities like schools, hospitals, sporting facilities, etc. Ultimately, the project will create employment and make Enugu state the best place to work, live and raise children.

Is there a time limit for a buyer to start construction?

Yes. A buyer has up to 24-months (2 years) to commence construction.

What assurance does the buyer have that the infrastructural facilities will be provided for?

A visit to the site will convince all. All aspects of infrastructure development is ongoing and all development areas sold will be fully serviced. We have full financial support from Diamond Bank Plc, which we are committing to infrastructure development.

Can a buyer build any pattern of house on his Land?

Not exactly. Each land type has different options of standard approved architectural designs. Property owners can choose from any of the standard designs and are free to make necessary adjustments to the designs – subject of the estate management company . Buyer can also come with their designs, which will then be adapted to the architectural theme of the estate.

Vision of ELGC

The Enugu lifestyle and Golf City project, which is a public-private partnership between Private Estates International (West Africa) Limited and the government of Enugu State, was envisioned by the State governor as a response to the severe housing shortage in Enugu State. The city will not only provide housing but will also contribute to the economic progress of the state.

Why is it also called the Centenary City

ELGC is also called the Centenary City because its development coincides with the 100 years anniversary of the creation and existence of Enugu city.

• Palms Presidential - No restriction - twin duplex also allowed
• Roe Gardens - No restriction twin - duplex also allowed
• Geranium Gardens – No restrictions - twin duplex also allowed
• Daisy Gardens – Apartments, Flats, Condos – restricted to two dwellings.
• Carnation Gardens – Duplexes and Bungalows
• Almond – Bungalows and Town houses if plots are joined together
• Centenary – Bungalows

* Please note Almond Gardens and Centenary City is restricted to one dwelling place
* Palms Presidential, Rose Gardens, Geranium Gardens I & II Daisy Gardens and Carnation Gardens are restricted to two dwellings

What is the price?

The price for each plot depends on the community and plot size. There are 7 different plot types and it goes for 16,000 naira per square meter or 14,000 per square meter depending on the plot type. • DDV Designs (www.ddvdesigns.co.za) - the leading award-winning golf course design architect in South Africa designed the 18-hole Golf Course and 9-hole exclusive Golf Course in the city.
• Nael & Bin Harmal Hydroexport (NBHH) (www.nbhydroexport.com) is developing the internal road network and civil works within the city. NBHH is one of the leading civil engineering firms in the UAE. It owns one of the largest malls in Dubai, developed the Formula one Circuit in Abu Dhabi and the civil works on Yas Island.
• NAIRDA (www.nairdagroup.com), an Israeli engineering company, designed and is implementing our private water scheme for the city.
• Interlinked Technologies (www.interlinkedplc.com) will develop the independent power plant for the city.
• SecurExcel (www.securexcel.co.za), a leading intelligent security company designed the security infrastructure for the city and is currently building the main access gate and command centre for the city. Enugu Lifestyle & Golf City will be the most secure residential development in Nigeria.

How secure is the estate:

We have placed a lot emphasis on security and have integrated key security features in the design of the city. We have retained a specialised security company to guide the rollout of the security features of the city.

Specifically, our security arrangement will utilise a mix of controlled access, intelligence and armed guards to secure the city. The entire perimeter of the estate will be fenced and IP-based surveillance cameras installed in strategic locations within the city.

Access to the residential areas will be tightly controlled and visitors must be cleared at the access gate before they gain access into the estate.

We have completed construction of the Centenary City police post and have received the approval state police command to provide armed police men that will guard the city.

A more flexible payment plan preferably one associated with a Primary Mortgage Institution.

Currently in talks with mortgage institutions for provision of mortgage for prospective clients.
